Along a 42-kilometre route through north-eastern Twente, you run past country estates and lands that have opened their gates especially for this day.
The tasting cycling route is a culinary route for the seasoned cyclist. This is because the route is 62 kilometres long, taking you past hills, beautiful nature, historical farms and quaint villages. Additionally, you cycle past fascinating places, such as horse-milking farm ‘t Schanebroek, where you can see how the ponies and horses are milked.
In Twente’s gorgeous cycling area, in the area surrounding Ootmarsum and Denekamp, you cycle the special Smaakfietsroute (tasting cycling route). Taste Twente! You set off in the amiable artists town of Ootmarsum, Twente’s oldest city. From there, you follow the river Dinkel through the hilly Dinkeldal.

The Smikkel Route is a 35-kilometre cycling tour through the beautiful nature of Den Ham. You cycle along the river Regge and straight through the nature reserve Archemermaten, where nature has been left to run its natural course.
