Organ three days in the Euroregion

  • day before yesterday
  • 14:30
  • Losser

On 3 days in March, bicycle tours will be organized from various neighborhood churches in Germany to various churches for organ concerts.

Almost every church has an organ, the so-called queen of instruments. In the western Münsterland and neighboring Dutch congregations there are a number of examples made by renowned organ builders. The cantor of the Frauenkirche in Dresden, Matthias Grünert, will play ten of these instruments at the invitation of church musician and choir director Marion Röber. The concerts, each lasting just under an hour, can be attended individually - or as part of guided bicycle tours that lead from church to church over three days.

The organ tour in the Euroregion begins on March 14. The start of the bicycle tour is at 3:30 p.m. in Burgsteinfurt at the Ev. Kleine Kirche.

On March 15, cyclists will start at 10:30 a.m. at Gronau's Ev. Stadtkirche. It's off to Epe. Matthias Grünert plays there from 11 a.m. at St. Agatha Church. The next stop is Losser, where at 2:30 p.m. the organ will sound at the Protestant Church in the city center. The instrument - The cyclists then head to Enschede, where Grünert will play at 4:30 p.m. in the Grote Kerk on the Oude Markt. Then it's off to Gronau, where at 7 p.m. the Saturday's final concert will take place in the Ev. Stadtkirche.

On March 16, the organ cyclists will ride at 10 a.m. from the baroque church in Zwillbrock to Rekken in Gelderland.

At the starting points of the bicycle tours, the last concerts of each day will take place so that cyclists can start their journey home from there.

Participation in the concerts and bicycle tours is free of charge. Donations are welcome. Places for the bike rides are limited. Please register at orgel-radtour@gmx.de. In addition to your name, address and phone number, please include the desired days of participation.
