Brueghelian Festival, Losser

  • 21 - 24 August

  • Losser

The pretty Dinkel town of Losser (located between Oldenzaal and the German border) traditionally goes back in time for four days to the master painter Pieter Brueghel the Elder (± 1525 - 1569).

Experience Losser as it was 500 years ago during the Breughelian Festival from Aug. 21 to 24. The center turns into a medieval spectacle full of crafts, music, street theater, fire-eaters, delicacies and children's entertainment. Come see, taste and enjoy this unique feast for young and old!

Over the years, this large-scale feast with some 100,000 visitors has become one of the largest and best-known events in the region and... far beyond.

Who does not know the extraordinary scenes of the master painter, in which lurid and foolish displays often prevail. So eating, drinking and partying as a real "Brueghelian" among beggars, lepers and hoodlums is a unique experience. Of course, the peddlers and troubadours will not be missing in the atmospheric decor that Losser offers these days.
