Route

This Christmas walk offers two beautiful hiking routes that go through the hilly (winter) landscape around De Lutte. You can choose from a walk of about 6 or 9 km. The walk takes you through the beautiful countryside including Egheria and the Tankenberg. Along both routes the ancient sounds of the midwinter horns can be heard at several locations along the way.

Stops

There are also stops at special places for coffee and a hot snack at 't Lutters Kwartier in the center of De Lutte. In addition, you can walk into St. Plechelmus Church during the route to view the nativity scene.

Start and registration

The start is at Tourist info De Lutte, Plechelmusstraat 14. You can start on Boxing Day between 10:00-12:30 am.
Participation is € 8.50 for adults and € 6.50 for children up to 12 years old, this includes the above mentioned refreshments.

Parking

We recommend you come to the start on foot or by bike. For cars there are several parking facilities near the start. You can park at Erve Boerrigter, SV De Lutte or at the Kerkplein.

Handy to know

• There is a baby carriage route available, at 1 or 2 gates the baby carriage needs to be lifted.
• Put on good footwear, (forest) paths can be muddy.
