Borne at its Best

On this Sunday, the organization of Borne op z'n Best pulls out all the stops. The previous edition brought thousands of visitors to our village! Of course you will again shuffle through Oud Borne for the living statues during the Open Championship North and East Netherlands for Living Statues! The stores are open during this shopping Sunday and in the streets, churches & squares dance groups, bands, orchestras and choirs show their best works.

Car Parking during Borne op z'n Best

During Borne op z'n Best, all squares and parking lots in the center of Borne will be occupied by the many activities. The center of Borne is also completely car-free from 12:00 to 17:00. Therefore, the organization advises visitors to come by bicycle or public transport as much as possible.

If you do come by car, you can park on the other side of the N743, in the Bornsche Maten. The yellow event signs will direct you to the appropriate spots, after which you can reach Oud Borne within a few minutes on foot. Of course, you can also park in the Kulturhus parking garage (2 minutes walk) and at Borne Station (5 minutes walk).

Bicycle parking

Come by bike as much as possible! To keep the center easily accessible we would like to ask you to park your bikes in the specially designated bike parking spaces. There are 3 bicycle parking places this year:

• Parking place de Koem
• Watertorenstraat
• Ennekerdijk

Road Closures

The following roads, parking lots and plazas will be closed to traffic from noon to 5 p.m. on April 21, 2024:

• Roads: Ennekerdijk, Abraham ten Catestraat, Brinkstraat, Watertorenstraat, Brugstraatje, Potkampstraat, Oude Kerkstraat, Grotestraat from Ziekenhuisstraat, Ziekenhuisstraat from the Aanslagsweg, Marktstraat from Dorsetplein, Bekenhorst from the Parking Garage to Dorsetplein, Oude Almeloseweg from Knoef printing works, Nieuwe Kerkstraat from Stationstraat, Grotestraat from St. Stephanuskerk.
• Parking lots: Marktplein, De Koem and De Haven. (Bolkshoek is available)
• Squares: Rheineplein and Dorsetplein.
