Join our tower guide to go up into St. Plechelmus Basilica and enjoy a magnificent view.
During the ascent you will be informed in detail about the 800-year-old tower. You will also get information about the 100-year-old clockwork, the carillon, the playing drum, the Maria bell from 1493, and the new Plechelmus bell from 2020. Did you know that at 3890 kg, that bell is the heaviest swinging bell in the province of Overijssel? And that as many as six bells can ring? If open, you can visit the basilica afterwards. This tour takes about 1.5 hours.
Costs
- Cost for adults: € 7.50 p.p. including coffee/tea or a scoop of ice cream.
- Cost children up to 14 years: € 5,- p.p. including a glass of lemonade.
- Children under 8 years and younger, are not allowed in the tower due to safety reasons.
