Put on your walking shoes and discover the winter beauty of De Lutte. During this atmospheric 9 km walk, you’ll enjoy a varied landscape with peaceful forest paths, characteristic tree-lined lanes, and the charming village centre. Along the way, you’ll experience the silence of nature, the rich history of the area, and the distinctive Twente atmosphere.
With a bit of luck, you may come face to face with Scottish Highland cattle at the Scholtenhaer estate, one of the hidden gems of the Treasure Chamber of Twente. The route also offers plenty of opportunities to warm up along the way or afterwards with a cup of coffee and cake at Hotel-Restaurant ’t Kruisselt, finishing with a warm bowl of soup at one of the hospitality venues in the centre of De Lutte.
Reservations
This winter walk can be done on any day and starts at the Tourist Information office in De Lutte. Please note that advance reservation via the form below is required. Important: If you wish to book this arrangement for a Saturday or Sunday, make sure your reservation is submitted by Friday before 4:30 p.m.
