Hand in hand people march through the center of Ootmarsum while singing Ootmarsum Easter songs. Starts at 5 p.m. on 1st and 2nd Easter Day. Easter customs in Ootmarsum are included in the list of Cultural and Intangible Heritage in the Netherlands.

The Poaskearls walk from the Easter Meadow to the town, where the vlöggeln then begins. At the edge of town, the eldest puts his right hand on his back, after which his "moat" puts his left hand in it. This is followed by the other Poaskearls in order of years of service and behind them follows the cantor. Behind the cantor, young and old hook up, creating a long chain of people, who meander through the streets and alleys of the city, singing. Along the way, they march around steeps and through a number of buildings. At the Market Square, the long garland of people finally rolls up. Both Easter carols are sung one more time and finally the children present are lifted up under cries of hurrah.

Since 2015, both the Rondgang van de Nachtwacht and the Easter customs of the poaskearls in Ootmarsum have been listed as Intangible Heritage in the Netherlands.
