On RedWednesday Nov. 19, churches and monuments turn blood red to call attention to the plight of millions of persecuted, oppressed and threatened believers around the world.
As a sign of solidarity with them, when it gets dark, churches are lit red. In the Netherlands, many churches participate, including the church in Saasveld.
Between 19.00 and 20.00 (free walk-in) you are welcome to light a candle in the church and listen to the beautiful violin playing of Resy Weernink.
