Natuurvriendenhuis Den Broam
Den Broam is a cozy do-it-yourself hotel in beautiful surroundings. Tucked away in an experiential forest, it offers both indoor and outdoor (Broam huts, teepees and trekking field) overnight accommodations and plenty of nature play opportunities.
This originally small camping hut was built by people from the Enschede chapter of the Dutch Workers' Travel Association in 1931. In 1934 it was expanded into the large "Broam. Over the years the house has always been adapted to the demands of the time. It is located just 2 km from the German border, deep in the beautiful Twente countryside, on the edge of the Buurserbeek on its own forest grounds. The Buurserzand, the Haaksbergerveen, the Witteveen and the Gelderse Achterhoek are nearby.
The house
Den Broam is a small and cozy "forest house" in the middle of nature. There are 14 rooms with a total of 32 beds. There are single and double rooms and some family rooms with 4 beds. On each floor there are toilets and showers for common use. The large kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own delicious meals.↵. On the grounds are 2 broam huts and 2 teepees with 4 beds each, and there is a trekkers' field for campers. For these "outdoor guests" there is fully equipped outdoor kitchen and sanitary facilities.
The Friends of Nature House is very suitable for family reunions, parties and school trips.

Activities
Den Broam is an excellent place to unwind but also for active recreation. It is located in the midst of vast natural areas with an extensive walking, cycling and mountain biking network.
We regularly organize fully catered mid-weeks on the themes of hiking and cycling, culture, relaxation and photography. Companions, workshop leaders and guides provide a nice program and the cooks provide delicious meals. Read more about the different activities.
