Restaurant Haarmühle
The "Haarmühle", is a well-known and beloved tavern far beyond the border. Next to the 400-year-old water mill and on the banks of the small river Aa, it is a good place to stay.
The restaurant was originally a barn of an 1865 farmhouse. It is located next to the old mill in the beautiful surroundings of nature reserve the Witte Venn. The restaurant is therefore an ideal base for a cycling or hiking tour or for the various other fun activities you can do there. In addition, the restaurant is also very suitable as a party location for family celebrations, weddings and a friends day.

Breakfast and lunch
Start your day off right with a delicious breakfast! From Monday to Saturday between 9:00 and 11:30 am there is a farmer's breakfast, consisting of various delicacies. On Sundays and holidays between 9.00 and 11.30 am you can join us for an extensive breakfast buffet. In addition, every Sunday between 10.30 and 14.00 you can enjoy a delicious brunch buffet in the party barn anno 1824. You will be welcomed with a nice glass of German champagne, after which you can enjoy various tasty dishes. Check out the breakfast and brunch menu here. Would you rather just have lunch? Delicious Westphalian dishes
In the historic ambiance of the Haarmühle, dining is pleasant. Located in Germany, right on the Dutch border, the restaurant is the ideal place to discover genuine Westphalian cuisine. Every day between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. (on Sundays from 2:30 p.m.), the kitchen staff offers an extensive and wide range of delicious dishes. Enjoy typical German dishes such as a crispy Schnitzel or Strammer Max; freshly baked country bread with Westphalian raw ham and two fried eggs. Check out all the dishes in advance on the menu.
Enjoying under the chestnut trees
Under the old chestnut trees by the rippling water of the Ahauser Aa, the large terrace overlooking the old water mill offers space for about 500 guests. In this cozy and relaxed atmosphere you can enjoy a cup of coffee with homemade cake or have a cold drink. You can also eat a meal here. And while you are enjoying all the goodies, the kids are playing in the large outdoor playground! Every year the Haarmühle organizes various concerts and shows on the terrace.
Unique barbecue location
Just before the Ahauser Aa enters the Netherlands, the water flows around a small peninsula. Under the century-old trees on this island, a place has been set up with a barbecue grill and a self-service bar. From 20 people upwards you can enjoy a barbecue package here. From 30 people upwards it is also possible to barbecue on the terrace next to the restaurant.

This versatile location with the most beautiful spots, both inside and outside, offers the right atmosphere for every party. Even for a wedding ceremony there is a romantic spot.
