In the middle of the forests of the Sallandse Heuvelrug is restaurant and hotel De Swarte Ruijter, awarded a Michelin star.

The 1930s thatched villa is considered one of the most beautiful spots on Holterberg. The stately appearance is translated inside into a surprising design where it is pleasant to dine.

Culinary at the Holterberg

In the restaurant, chef Erik de Mönnink cooks with pure, regional products. The beautiful surroundings stimulate his creativity and local products such as mushrooms from the forest and deer from the Heuvelrug play the leading role in his fantastic cuisine. The menu changes regularly and offers seasonally appropriate dishes. French doors lead to the spacious outdoor terraces surrounding this former teahouse. In fine weather, tables are set on the terrace overlooking the Holterberg.
