Centrum Losser

Losser has a long history and is relatively old. Some of the farmsteads around Losser are already mentioned in ancient documents dating back to the ninth century. The parish of Losser (known as the kerspel Lotere) was mentioned as early as 1352, when Jan van Arkel, Bishop of Utrecht, pledged the Hof tho Varwick in De Lutte and the Hof tho Lothere (the Hof of Losser) to the Count of Solms, Lord of Ottenstein.
