Rijssen
Everyone in Twente knows that shopping is good in Rijssen. It is bursting with stores, and local shopkeepers have known for years - often from generation to generation - to attract people to Rijssen to put on some nice clothes. Because there are fashion stores galore. Not for nothing is Rijssen popularly called "fashion city of Twente.

You read about it more and more these days. Shopping streets that all look alike. Fortunately, Rijssen does not participate in this. The center is still dominated by local entrepreneurs with their own store formulas. Nice and different. Seems like you're really on vacation.
At home in all markets
On King's Day, the whole of the Netherlands throws its junk on the street to sell to the shuffling public during the free market. In Rijssen they do it differently: during the summer months you can do your bargain no less than five times during the Lommerdmarkten. And that attracts a lot of folks. And what about the weekly markets? Those are in Rijssen every Monday morning and all day Saturday.

To Rijssen's rich past, you don't have to look long. How about the Park Building. This 'Old Lady' was built over a hundred years ago 'to maintain and entertain' the workers and she still does.
