Traditionally, the beautiful, historic center of Ootmarsum is transformed into a lively market on the last Thursday of July and the first two Thursdays of August.
Traditionally, the beautiful, historic center of Ootmarsum is transformed into a lively market on the last Thursday of July and the first two Thursdays of August.
Exquisite stalls in picturesque streets, old crafts, surprising performances, original musicians and cozy terraces, invite young and old to visit. A folk dance group is also present. From 12 o'clock they dance in the streets, they “crowd” the visitors and invite them to the Twente Farmers' Wedding, the official part of which takes place at Kerkplein around 4 p.m.
The Siepelmarkt continues to surprise its visitors. A longer route than in previous years takes you past old crafts, there is a commodity market and there are stand workers. Also extra attention for the children this year. There is a nice children's market.
