The Enschede Marathon is the oldest marathon in the Netherlands and Western Europe. At the first edition, in July 1947, 51 runners participated in the running race. Today, nearly 11,000 participants take part and the number is still growing.

Enschede Marathon 2024
The course is known for being very fast and, along with Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Eindhoven, is among the top marathons in the Netherlands. Along the course each year some 80,000 loyal spectators cheer on the runners. Traditionally, some 950 enthusiastic and committed volunteers help make the day a success. Because of their years (some even over 30 years!) of experience, the volunteers of Enschede Marathon are indispensable for a very successful and successful event.

The Twee van Enschede is a super fun, low-threshold and recreational exercise event of two English Miles (3.2 km) in the heart of downtown Enschede on the Oude Markt. How much fun is that?
